Wanted to create a nice display for my Guitar Hero controllers to motivate me to use them more often when friends come over. Plus it looks really cool!
The rod is hollow, and there is a hole to drive the screw through. After the rod has been screwed to the wall, the knob can be screwed on.
There are 7 designs for the knob front surface (one being just blank). The heart one has “M + O” written for my fiancé and myself.
Printer settings:
Printed using black EasyPrint PLA with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.20mm layer hight without supports. Sliced with PrusaSlicer default setting “0.20mm QUALITY”.
I would recommend using 100% infill for the Knob. At least around the section where it transitions to a screw, this has proven to be a weak point and might otherwise break off after some use.
Note: Make sure to print the knobs with the font facing the heat bed.
[EDIT]: I added a V2 version of the Rod.stl which has a larger tolerance for the printed screw. Try this version in case the knobs require too much force to screw in to the rod.
