I designed this to cut pills into smaller, more manageable doses. It's typically used to divide tablets that are not scored (pre-marked for splitting). This allows for an easier more precise method of medication management, especially for individuals who need to take smaller doses of a medication based on your healthcare provider's recommendation.
These devices usually have a blade or other cutting mechanism to split the pill accurately and evenly when the pill is placed in a designated slot. This tool stresses the pill by supporting the ends of the pill and the cutting wedge presses down on the top center of the pill causing the pill to snap.
I used White PLA+ as that was what I already had loaded. I would suggest using either PLA+ or maybe even nylon due to the stress when cracking a pill.
The two pieces simply snap together.
