The hinge in my workshop toilet came adrift this morning. I was in the middle of designing a replacement before finding, to my surprise, that these were still available as spare parts (see below). Our lid is a Celmac Saxon but from the data I found (copied below) the hinge fits others too. Anyway I completed the design and printed the new ones.
My design closely replicates the OEM part - ref photo of the rather yellowed original beside the new printed one.
In order to print the radiussed end, the part should be printed with the hinge-pin hole facing downward. There are small chamfers at the ends of the hole and slots to help it to be printed this way without any supports. I printed them in PETG and with no support.
Whilst I could have ordered replacement parts, the prints were far cheaper (as long as you don't cost the design time!) and the toilet was repaired faster.
