Description

I made this small shelf to hold a clock in my bathroom. To mount the internal bracket you will need :

  • M4 x 16 flat head screws (qty 3)
  • or
  • #8 X 5/8" flat head screws (qty 3)

Note : I printed and used the “curved corner” version of the shelf. I did not print the Floating02 rectangular version, but I expect that it will work ok.

Assembly and Use

Mount the internal bracket using the flat head screws; I screwed them directly into drywall. I suggest screwing in the center screw first, and then leveling the bracket before adding the other two screws (see photos).

The shelf slides over the mounted bracket and is simply held on by friction - there are no catches, hooks, or whatever, so when removing items from the shelf make sure it does not slide off.

Print Instructions

Print in PLA using the 3mf files provided, otherwise :

  • 0.2mm layer height
  • 2 perimeters
  • 15% grid infill
  • Supports : For the Shelf (curved corner) part, I used painted on supports for the curvature near the print bed.

Print the Shelf part front edge down on the print bed. print the Bracket bottom down on the print bed.

I used "marble" PLA for my print, the marbling effect helps hide any small defects.
