Tired of waiting for the Halo mount, I made my own. It works, but the added weight makes it less comfortable to me, so I am not actually using it at the moment.
EDIT: Added Helmet compatible top bracket
See the 3mf/images for print orientation. I printed each component by separately, just grouped them for convenience.
Bill of materials:
- 6x Heat Set Insert M3 x 3 (Short Version)Heat Set Insert M3 x 3 (Short Version)
- 2x countersunk m3x20 Screw
- 4x M3x6 or M3x8(not countersunk)
- FMA L4G254 NVG mount (The real one or higher quality replicas are made from aluminum, however since that adds weight I prefer the plastic version, it does the job just fine)
- 5x10cm memory Foam pad, i used one from an airsoft helmet, attach it with some Velcro tape
To stop the headset from swiveling in the mount you can add the top spacer, but that is optional:
- Print from TPU
- 2xM3x6(outer screws)
- 2xM3x4(inner screws)
- Also you might want to glue it to the top bracket, you can skip the inner screws then.
For the audio strap you also need a USB-C extension cable if you want to be able to flip it up, I used a USB-C OTG cable with a USB-A to C converter
I used ESUN PLA+ 5 Walls , 25% Gyroid infill, but set it to what you think is best, if you somehow break your BSB2 using this, that is your responsibility.
