I've got this staircase with a lots of vertical 16mm rods, so I thought… there's plenty of space, I need to hang my coats there!
Have a look at the pictures, it's an easy solution for a "I'v got to many jackets" problem. So if you have those 16mm rods around, feel lucky like me, your coats will be safe and sound!
Mounting
You need for each hook:
- 1x hook (hook.stl)
- 1x bracket (bracket.stl)
- 1x ISO 4762 (DIN912) M4x16 screw
- 1x M3 nut (self locking nylon nuts recommended)
I printed mine in PLA, which is fine. However, I'd recommend PETG for more durability because the parts could loosen over time otherwise.
No support needed! The models are optimized to print without any support. Have a look into the .3mf file for correct orientation.
To enhance friction between printed hook and steel rod I added a little “pocket” in the hook, you can insert a tiny piece of rubber or silicone or whatever doesn't slip.
