Description

The Ryobi-Powered Pinecil Rugged Case is a portable enclosure designed to house a Pinecil soldering iron and provide a convenient power source using a Ryobi 18V battery. The case includes a 65W USB-C module, allowing the Pinecil to be powered directly from the battery.

In addition to running the Pinecil, the USB-C module can be used to charge a phone or power other compatible devices, which makes the setup useful in situations where mains power isn’t available.

Print Settings

In my experience, default settings with supports enabled everywhere worked well for both PLA and PETG.

Though I would recommend blocking supports in the Box's cable routing channel, removing supports from there can be difficult (see red highlighted surface in picture below).

Bill of Materials

Parts are linked from Amazon since that’s where I purchased most of mine, but they’re mainly shown for identification. Equivalent parts can be found from other sellers, often at lower prices, so use whatever sources make sense for you.

Assembly

A detailed assembly guide is provided as a PDF under Other Files. It walks through the build process and includes important notes, so I recommend checking it before printing.
