I created this small sanding block to use with my leatherwork; specifically, to sand edges of leather before burnishing (smoothing). I was inspired by a wooden design…and will eventually make them out of wood but was easier and faster to print!
I used Prusament PETG to print and they work fine. I have heard that if you use something like PLA the heat from sanding may melt the block. Not an issue for me as leather doesn't build that much heat.
I used M5 inserts for timber and some M5 bolts that I found on Amazon. Note: I had to heat the inserts to seat them properly without breaking the block.
