Modular Silencer Kit for Airsoft

Model Description

This is a modular silencer design for airsoft guns or air rifles. The inner diameter of the silencer parts is 7.5 mm. For safety reasons make sure not to use this for larger calibers.

There are four different types of modules to build a silencer:

1. BarrelAdapter: Matching your barrels diameter and secured with a M5 screw
2. Spacer: Used if you want to make larger chambers for sound breaking
3. Chamber: Used to break the sound
4. EndCap: Closes the silencer

You can combine the different modules as you wish. The modules can be connected quickly by printed threads. Therefore the assembly of the silencer is fast and easy. To make sure the BarrelAdapter does not slip off the barrel use a M5 nut as insert during the printing process.

Test Results

A silencer configuration was tested on a spring-piston rifle. The silencer consisted of a BarrelAdapter, one Spacer, 4 Chamber modules and an EndCap. The reduced muzzle blast was clearly audible.

Print Settings

Material: PLA possible, as airsoft guns do not produce heat themselves

Infill: 15%, Grid

Nozzle: 0.4 mm

Layer height: 0.2 mm

For BarrelAdapters you might need a rim for better bed adhesion
