INTRO
Meet the DEFENDER; A tanked UGV.
Measuring: 890x740x660mm (LxWxH), & powered by 2 BLDC drills; This completely 3D printed (with the exception of the 2040 extrusions for structural support) UGV can handle whatever you throw at it. Whether you want to use it for security, snow removal, towing stuff, or just for fun, The Defender is here for you.
Load capacity (Tested on Bare-bones Variant->Bare Bones just has no Hull/Fender/Turret):
200lbs (Tested)
300lbs (Tested & to my surprise, it moved the load just fine)
All pieces printed with 8-10 walls with 30% infill using Rapid PLA+
V.1-Early Release
This is V.1 of the Defender. As of now, 99% of the mechanical parts are completed. All that's left is the turret mechanism.
Update April 1/26:
Updated the Tread by adding 4 nut slots that accept 6-32 nuts/nylon locking nuts. They also accept M3 nut/nylon locking nuts as well. (Min 6-32 x 1 1/2" screws recommended or M3x30mm
This was done to help prevent the screws from coming loose due to vibrations at high speeds.
