I model it so that supports are not needed. You print it in 3 parts and fit it together with a joint. If the joint is too loose, you can glue it with superglue or JV weld.
The benifit of 3d printed tree toppers is that they are lighter than regular ones. This meens that even a small tree can have a good tree topper.
