NASA inspired Chainmail in various link patterns and snap-in inserts. Examples printed without support or brim using PETG, .4mm nozzle and .16mm layer height. Inserts are optional on one or both sides.
For 2 color prints use “filament change” at midpoint of chainmail links and beginning of 4th layer of star inserts.
Chainmail link sections can be repaired/joined using the repair part. Use super glue gel to join two halves and snap in an insert to temporarily hold together. twist to align. Its tedious, but not impossible.
Radial pitch is 1.04" (.901" x .52") if you want to make your own pattern.
