I developed this model for the character I'm playing in an upcoming 3.5e D&D campaign. She's a slim half-elf Beguiler who works, among other things, as a tavern dancer as a way to gather information.
The motivation for the multi-ribbon skirt was her ankles: they are the weak spot in figures that only contact the base via their feet. The skirt pieces will provide the bracing needed to keep the ankles from breaking. I made it open to make her easier to paint.
The clothes and staff were created in OpenSCAD; I've developed code that "fits" shapes onto imported STL figures. The rest of the stuff is Meshmixer. The body is based on a sculpture by Zurab Tsereteli, a prominent Soviet painter, sculptor, and architect.
[P.S. the accessory dangling from her lower back is a tail from a nine-tailed fox she slew. It is intended to attract the eye as it moves while she dances.]]
[Update: I decided her hips weren't feminine enough so I've widened them a little. I added a new screencap of the revised model. And then it turns out I'd uploaded a low-res model so I've uploaded a new one.]
