This is the EQ4 Masterkey, which is a reshell of the four shot Adventure Force Equalizer blaster pistol, available from Walmart in the US for less than $8 a pair. That makes this one of the cheapest multi-shot off-the-shelf blasters available. Last year I modeled the internals of this blaster as an exercise to become more proficient in Onshape, and also as an attempt to reshell the blaster with a hammer-primed action. While it did work, that blaster didn't end up being practical. However, I couldn't let all that design work go to waste. I have a stash of these blasters because they're often for sale at Goodwill for only $1. They're only about 65fps, but nice and compact. The multi-shot mechanism is also very clever, in my opinion.
The club I play with doesn't really have special ammo rules (yet) and for most game modes it makes more sense to carry a masterkey that just fires standard ammo for when your mag runs out. So that's what I made. This fires either short darts or long darts. Short darts will be flush with the barrel and long darts will stick out. You prime it by pulling the entire assembly forward, and fire it by pressing on the button at the front. It's designed to be easy to press with your thumb so you don't need to change your grip. Lefties can mirror all of the parts when printing to change which side the trigger button is on, as the pieces that come out of the original blaster are basically symmetrical.
I've included two versions of the shell. This was originally designed to fit under the barrel of a Dart Zone Pro Mk3, so one version has an angled rear face to fit snuggly against the magwell. The other has a flat rear face with a slightly shorter overall length.
Hardware Required:
Qty 4 - M3x10 Socket head cap screws
Qty 1 - Adventure Force Equalizer blaster
You only need 7 of the parts from the blaster, and four of the shell screws. One of the parts needs to be trimmed.
