My own real-life tested model of heavy duty child lock, in a lightweight design. Incredibly small, but if printed with 100% infill, practically unbreakable. Unlocking is hard enough for children up to 6-8yo, simple and extremely durable , yet very compact. No weak spots, no breaking-prone springs.
Print main body and back lid with PLA or PETG and the lock latch with ASA or ABS. Use 6+ perimeters for max strength.
