I like the original model but I wanted to change a few things.

I liked mine to sit on top of the tree so I designed a peg that can plug in on top of the tree. This peg has a friction fit and can be easily replaced with a different attachment system in case you want to use it with a real tree. I might add this later.  If your printer tolerances aren't great then you might want to glue in the peg.

The eyes I just made as cubes in the slicer (15x45x2mm) and can be easily recreated in you want slightly smaller or bigger eyes.

There is a small hole (10mm) in the back plate to route the lights.

The star itself is now completely hollow compared to the original design to remove the shadow of the central tube. I used a yellow PLA from Sunlu for the print but a slightly more opaque might be better to have less led hotspots.

You will need at least a 250mmx250mm printer to print it at this size. If you want to scale the model it will affect the friction fit of the peg.
