Golf - Golf Ball Stencil Paint Spray Jig Holder

Golf ball spray paint jig that can paint up to 7 golf balls with stencil patterns at a time using compatible stencils (below).   Ergonomic design makes it easy to open and close jig assembly to better grip and hold ball in place while painting.  Additional guard and guard caps allow up to 7 balls to be painted at a time with guard resting on arms of each jig holder.

Printing Tips

• Print holder (top and bottom), guard and guard caps with multi filament printer using PETG/PLA (main body) and TPU (for base holder golf ball cushion) at 0.15mm layer height and 10% infill.  Can be printed with monofilament as well but cushion will not be elastic.  Recommend printing base separately from rest of items since the other items only require one filament type.

• Print base of jig holder at 99% scale to allow easier fit of threads into top holder piece.

Usage

• Step 0 - wash, scuff (1000 grit sandpaper) and dry golf ball

• Step 1 - Setup golf ball in spray paint jig as per video

• Step 4 - lightly spray paint stenciled jigs from a height of 30-40cm

• Step 5 - lightly spray stencil again while initial coat is still tacky

• Step 6 - after drying remove stencil and top part and lightly spray with a clear coat of varnish

Recommendation

• use a spray paint enclosure with ventilation and PPE

• use acrylic or enamel spray paint and then coat with a light clear coat of spray paint

• Setup works well with 20cm diameter turntable
