A stand to mount a regular 120 mm fan to, with adjustable tilt.

Please note: The two "guarded" variants are meant to be sliced with a 120mm cylinder modifier that disables the top and bottom filled layers, thus leaving the infill pattern as a fan guard. Honeycomb infill looks nice for this purpose and prints cleanly. See the 3mf project file for an example.

Needed to complete:

  • Two M4 countersunk screws, length 10 mm (shaft length 8mm)

  • Two M4 lock nuts

  • Four M4 screws for the fan (length depending on whether you print the "open" or "closed" variant; I used 30 mm length flat-head for the "closed" variant)

  • Four M4 nuts for the fan

Assembly:

  1. Insert the lock nuts into the sides of the fan bracket

  2. Insert your fan into the bracket and fasten it with four screws and nuts

  3. Attach the stand to the fan bracket with the two countersunk screws and tighten just enough to allow the fan's tilt to still be adjustable.

Depending on where the wires are on your fan, you may want to create an opening for them when using the "closed" variant.
