The WiiZ-61 Zapper is decades late - would have loved to have this mid-2000s.

Incorporating a surplus VZ 61 stock and grip, this light gun assembly will be sure to entertain and enhance your arcade-style Wii shooter games. I designed everything but the trigger assembly - that was already goof to go; nice job @Mmg1design.

Printing Instructions:

  • Orient clamshells flat on printbed with "normal" supports on the interior housing area for the Wii mote. You do not want supports to tough the exterior of the clamshell and threaded connection areas. Use a brim and glue stick if you have adhesion issues. Print with 3 walls and 15% infill of your choice.

  • Orient Shroud-Connector with the counter-bore facing up so that the part touching the clamshells is on the print bed. Do not use supports on this part.

  • Orient the Grip-Post-Connector and Grip-Post Nut in a way that uses no supports.

If your printer is calibrated properly all threaded features should fit together easily and securely; all thread-faces have been offset for ease of printing and assembly.

Assembly Instructions: (See cross-section images)

  1. Insert a pen spring into the trigger.

  2. Insert the trigger and spring assembly into one side of the clamshell.

  3. Insert your Wii mote into the clamshell.

  4. Enclose Wii mote with remaining clamshell.

  5. Thread Shroud-Connector on front end to connect clamshells.

  6. Thread Grip-Post-Connector on to base of clamshells.

  7. Slide Surplus VZ 61 grip over Grip-Post-Connector.

  8. Secure surplus VZ 61 grip with Grip-Post-Nut.

  9. Slide Surplus VZ 61 Stock into read clamshell dovetail by depressing detent in top of stock dovetail assembly. Side until detent click positively in place.

Use Instructions:

The stock cannot be deployed or closed when the nunchuck is plugged in. You must disconnect the nunchuck to deploy or fold the stock.
