Tested using an Everglide stabilizer. Might not work for every keyboard due to tolerances under the plate.
Attach using double-sided tape. Use something strong enough to prevent the guard from sheering off with the wire.
The tool is not meant to rub against the wire. If it does you may want to lube the contact area if you feel friction when pressing your keys.
