BookBinding Trimming Plough ... You'll need to supply your own:

After printing, glue the blade to the "Star Core" -- the cutout in the blade should hug the Saturn-shaped protrusion on the "Star Core". Most pieces are printed upside down from how the tool will be assembled and used.

Ready To Assemble:

  1. Insert the "Star Core" up through the "Blade Holder"

  2. Insert the above into the "Grip"

  3. Insert the "Locking Pin" into the channel of the "Grip" and "Star Core"

  4. The "Blade Guard" is for storage and transport (the slicing blade is VERY sharp!!!)

When the blade protrusion begins to dull, pull out the "Locking Pin;" the "Star Core" should slide down/out with the blade still glued to it. Rotate 1 star point and reassemble with a fresh blade edge showing (you may want to mark with edges you've used as you rotate it). When you've dulled all 8 edges, time to order a new blade and print a new "Star Core."

For how to use a trimmer plough, I'd refer you to Mr. Poelstra's site for an embedded video of his plough in use. Besides these printed parts, the Blade and the Glue, you will need a Press/Vise with a level surface, and a backing board that you don't mind slicing into.
