A bit late to the party because these are being discontinued by IKEA, but for all of those of you that already own some or want to snatch a couple on the discontinuation sale at your local IKEA, I hope it is useful for you. I made one myself because I refused to pay 5$ for such a simple model in another website, so you enjoy it for free. Leave a comment if something isn't quite right and I'll be happy to fix it. I included the 3mf file that I used for the one in the picture.

Printing

Supports: Minimal supports needed. Tested with tree supports that resulted in minimal waste and easy removal

Nozzle Size: Printed & tested 0.4mm.

Customization

The easiest way is to add them in the slicer. This only requires color change in the first layer, so easily doable without AMS. In the case of Orca Slicer:

  1. Right click on the surface of the object -> Add Modifier -> SVG.

  2. Set Depth of the Modifier to your "First Layer Height" (In my case 0.2mm)

  3. Rotate and position the Logo to your liking

  4. Set your desired color to the modifiers

  5. Print

  6. ... ?

  7. Profit

Disassembly / Assembly

  1. Remove battery door

  2. Use a pointed tool to press onto tabs on both sides while slightly prying apart (kind of tricky)

  3. Remove gasket from original faceplate and install on printed part

  4. Press new faceplate and body together
