A parametric panel for the HomeRacker system
The panel was created in OpenSCAD, based on the MIT-licensed work https://github.com/kellervater/homeracker by Patrick Pötz
Panels are defined by the following choices:
X, Y dimensions; for example, a panel of dimension X8Y5 would match a support of dimension 8 in one direction and 5 in the other
Ears, which are the bits sticking out the top over the support. Ears can be:
Half-ears; this means they extend over the support, up to the pin hole but not over it
Full-ears; this means they extend over the support, for the full width of the support
No-ears; this means they do not extend over the support
Pattern, which is used to define if the center section is solid or has holes. Pattern can be:
Hexgrid; the panel surface is a grid of hexagons
Plain; the panel surface is solid
There are cutouts in the corners to fit connectors
Panels are attached using regular pins via their side sections extending below the panel surface
