The Design

There are many AIRTAG cases out there, but I made my own version as it fun to do. The version I made are basiclly the same with respect to the casing, how ever they come with different logo’s:

  • no logo

  • Apple logo

  • Pear logo

  • KTM logo

Note: I used the AIRTAG model created by @Gustav_24630, and it fits like charm. It saved me some time modelling. Great!

I’m using this Airtag keychain for some time now, and holds perfectly.

Assembly instructions

Fit the Airtag inside the casing, turn the counter part of the casing from around 45degrees towards each other to close it. You should feel a little snap. Add a ring to it, and there you go.

Material

I applied PLA+ (eSUN) for my prints

Print settings

I applied the following settings for my print.

Layer height: 0.15 structural. (I don recommend to deviate from this, as the detail level is needed I believe)
Infill: 15% works fine I believe
Model orientation: Split the parts and place the outside surfaces towards the print bed (see pictures)
Perimeters: 2, more possible.
Support:  no support needed! = no waste ;)

Note: Please consider other settings incase you think this helps you or the design in any way.

Acknowledgements

I began my 3D printing journey in 2023 — Adeliberate step into a world that blends creativity with engineering. Drawn to the story and philosophy behind Prusa, I chose to start with one of their printers. As an engineer, I find this manufacturing method both fun and deeply educational. It challenges to think differently about how you design and build: from individual parts and models to complete assemblies.

Building the Prusa kit was a great kickoff—I thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on process, and it set the tone for everything that followed.
