I was upgrading the LED lights on my model railroad and was unhappy with the mounting clips that my addressable LED strips came with so I designed this modular system of mounts that would both hold the extruded aluminum u-channel in place, and organize my wiring with snap-in Wago221 connectors. The mounting holes allow for easy alignment and fit most (reasonable) countersunk screw sizes, while the covers snap in to hide the wiring. The current configuration holds the LED strips at 5.5 inches (140mm) between centers. Designed to print nicely without any supports.
