Objective
Be the last player to successfully place a leaf without knocking all the leaves down.

For 1-4 players

Setup

  • Assemble the tree trunk. Place the branch in such a way that a leaf can be put into the slot without falling out (too easily).

  • Distribute the leaves evenly amongst all players.

  • Players take turns in any order.

Gameplay

  • On your turn, place one leaf onto the tree or the previous leaf.

  • You must use only one hand. Switching hands is allowed.

  • Once you have committed to playing a certain leaf, you must use that leaf.

  • Once placed, the leaf may not be adjusted.

Falling Leaves

  • Option 1: If any leaves fall during your turn, you immediately lose.

  • Option 2: If the tree/leaf structure is mostly intact when leaves fall, then the player who knocked leaves off must take those leaves into their pile. Play continues until one player gets rid of all their leaves without knocking anything down.

Winning

  • The last player to place a leaf without causing the leaves to fall wins.

Alternate Gameplay

  • Solitaire mode: see how many leaves you can stack before the structure falls.

  • Establish house rules, such as: No two leaves of the same color can be interconnected.

Printing & Storage

  • 2 walls, 15% cubic infill, 0.2mm layer height

  • The tree is designed in 3 parts: the ground, the trunk, and the branch. They are designed to be friction fit together, but still able to pull apart. The truck with the branch does fit in the box assembled, if you don't want to take these pieces apart. Glue should not be needed, nor is it recommended.

  • There are two branch options.

  • There are 6 leaf designs. I recommend starting with 24 pieces. You can print 4 sets of 6, each set in a different color, like in my example, or change it up as you see fit.

  • The storage box has 3 different lid variations: one is plain without text, one has the text embossed, and the last one is ideal for a two-tone color option with the lid and text in different colors.

Update - added a "hard mode" ground base for the tree trunk. This new base has a much less stable footprint, adding an extra level of challenge to the game. The base is now curved downwards and has only a small flat area on the bottom; it can tip over if the leaves get too unbalanced, so watch out! This base should print top down since the bottom is curved. Supports are not needed for the central trunk area.
