This project is a modular control panel designed to manage power and devices in a 3D printer setup in a clean, safe, and expandable way.

The base unit includes three front-mounted switches:

  • 1× dual-stage main switch (KCD4) used as a master power switch

  • 2× single-stage switches (KCD3):

    • One dedicated to the Raspberry Pi running Klipper

    • One dedicated to the 3D printer PSU

All components are panel-mount:

  • 1× C14 power inlet

  • 2× Type F (Schuko) power sockets

  • 6.3 mm insulated faston connectors

  • 16 AWG wiring

  • D3×20 screws for mounting to wood

  • M4×10 screws + nuts for the bottom panel

Panels:

  • Front panel with angled switch recesses to reduce the risk of accidental activation

  • Rear panel with power inlets and outlets

  • Expandable horizontally up to 3 units for the IKEA Lack, allowing users to customize their setup with additional controls and outputs

  • The system always uses two side panels, mounted only at the outer ends of the assembled units

Since every user’s setup is different, I included in this project FreeCAD source files to allow customization.

Short article about this customization avaiable on my blog at ivndbt.com
