Kulp K64D-B Wall-Mount Snap Case (Indoor, PETG)
This is a two-piece, screwless wall-mount case designed specifically for the Kulp K64D-B controller used in xLights displays.
The design prioritizes easy installation, clean mounting, and tool-free servicing for indoor show control setups.
Design Overview
Two-piece design: base + snap-on cover
Base mounts to the wall using screws (mounting holes included)
K64D-B board snaps into the base — no board screws required
Cover snaps securely onto the base — no cover screws required
Indoor use only
Important Assembly Note
The board retention clips are designed to be glued to the base (CA glue or epoxy recommended).
This ensures they do not loosen over time during board insertion/removal.
Printing Recommendations
Material: PETG (recommended)
Orientation: Print both parts flat on the build plate
Supports: Not required
Infill: 20–30%
Perimeters: 3–4 for strength and snap durability
Use Case

Show closets

Wall-mounted xLights controller setups
Not intended for outdoor or damp environments.
Project Context
This model is part of a larger, standardized system used in my Generation 2 holiday light show. The design focuses on modularity, cold-weather serviceability, and swap-first maintenance rather than in-field repairs.
Ongoing design documentation, system architecture notes, and future iterations are published on Patreon.
