This is a vase intended to be made mostly from filament straight off the spool.
Print the pieces, or the whole model if you're bold, and then wrap filament through it.
If printed in pieces, everything will need to be glued together. The legs or ribs of the vase will go from 1 to 6 counterclockwise when viewed from the top.
The model is made so standard 1.75 mm filament can be threaded through the holes. When I tried this I quickly became discouraged as the filament tangled. Silk filament may help with that. I tried again with some string and was happy with the result.
This uses about 42 feet (12.7 meters) of filament for the wrap.
This vase won't hold water, obviously, but it's a good way to display your printed or Lego flowers.
