Adjustable leveling feet for a laser worktable

Hardware BOM

  • 1× M3 × 30 cylinder head screw or pan head screw

  • 1× 693ZZ bearing

  • 2× M3 nuts

  • 3× M3 countersunk screws with nuts or 3 mm wood screws
(depending on the material the feet are mounted to)

3D-Printed Parts

FeetAdjustable-Feet

Lower half of the foot. This part is screwed directly into the base material of your laser engraver.

FeetAdjustable-Top

Upper half of the foot. It slides onto the lower half and accommodates the 693ZZ bearing, as well as the screw and nut used for height adjustment.
Different versions are available depending on the design of your worktable.

FeetAdjustable-Plug

Plug used to secure the 693ZZ bearing inside the top part. It is retained by its springiness; a few drops of CA glue can be used to permanently bond it in place.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Position the feet where they will be mounted.

  2. Insert the M3 nut into the slot in the lower foot part.

  3. Place the 693ZZ bearing and the second M3 nut into the top part.

  4. Insert the M3 screw from the top and hold the nut in place with a flathead screwdriver while tightening.

  5. Close the top part using the plug.

  6. Screw the top part onto the lower part, ensuring the tongue aligns with the groove in the foot.

  7. Place your worktable onto the feet — done.

A small drop of grease can reduce friction and make adjustment easier. However, it will also lower the breakaway torque and may increase the risk of movement due to vibrations.
