THIS BEARS A RESEMBLANCE TO A FIREARM.
WHEREVER YOU TAKE THIS IS AT YOUR DISCRETION. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHERE YOU TAKE THIS AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF PEOPLE POSSIBLY MISTAKING IT FOR A FIREARM.
I had the very common "there's no reason this should cost what they're asking" when looking for a camera shoulder stock, so I figured I'd make one. Then I realized how annoying it would be to make one out of an empty rifle stock, so I designed one in fusion. It's based around a 2020 extrusion, I used 2 400mm sections with the hinge, but the hinge is entirely optional if you have a long enough section or don't want to deal with it. The hand grip, camera mount, and forward grips are movable to match whatever is comfortable. Two forward grips are included for choice.
Everything is mounted to 2020 extrusions so anything that mounts to one conceivably could work. Converting something to be mounted to an extrusion should be pretty easy as well. STEPs and a fusion file are included for easier remixing. I do not know if the hand grip will work for other remote shutter releases, but the files are included to be modified as needed. I'll probably need to figure out a sling mount as well.
My costs were $20 for an 8 pack of 200mm 2020 extrusions, $8 for about half a roll of PETG, and $5 for a variety pack of M5 cap screws on amazon. The T-nuts and magnets were left over from building my vorons, so if you're lucky it's less than $40 all up (aside from the remote shutter release).
Check the pictures for a picture of everything in it's printing orientation.
BOM
Base:
1x 2020 extrusion, length of your choice (I used 2x400mm for folding, 800mm should be the same)
1x M5x12 cap screw (stock)
1x M5x25 cap screw (hand grip)
2x M5x25 cap screw (lens mount) + 2 M5 hexnuts
This will need be M5x25 using the thumbscrews linked below
You will need a way to make lenses stick to the mount after being tightened down, I used some spare silicone sheet I had around, but anything that creates enough friction should be good enough. Test your solution before use to make sure.
1x 1/4"-20 hex head screw 3/8" long
To assemble the lens mount, you put the thumbscrew part (without 1/4" screw) into the mount and then push the 1/4" screw through the thumbscrew and mount. The thumbscrew + 1/4" screw will not fall out after being seated into the thumbscrew. Then you screw the lens mount onto the extrusion. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT THE 1/4" SCREW THROUGH THE THUMBSCREW WITH IT MOUNTED TO THE EXTRUSION.
5x M5 T-nuts for 2020 extrusions
Remote shutter control (I used VHB tape to stick it to the hand grip)
Grips:
Vertical:
1x M5x12 cap screw
1x M5 T-nut
Angled:
2x M5x12 cap screw
2x M5 T-nuts
Folding Hinge:
1x M5x20 cap screw (through pivot block and into aft hinge folding side)
1x M5x16 cap screw (pivot point)
1x M5 hex nut (pivot point)
2x M5x8 cap screws (forward hinge top + bottom)
1x M5x10 cap screw (magnetic catch)
1x M5x20 cap screw (hinge lock) + M5 hex nut
This one will need be M5x20 using the thumbscrews linked below
4x 6x3 magnets
The pictures of mine includes tape over the magnets as their tolerances are finicky and mine won't stay in reliably.
This package was remixed from a couple sources:
Buttstock: https://www.printables.com/model/87770-fgc-9-mkii-adjustable-buttstock/files
Handgrip: https://www.printables.com/model/202105-ar-pistol-grip-5-deg-cant/files
Angled grip: https://www.printables.com/model/377314-m-lok-angled-foregrip-afg-v2-for-slim-handguards/files
The angled grip in the pictures is different and part of my original idea of mounting mil std 1913 picatinny rails to the extrusions to make using off-the-shelf parts easier to use, but the idea was more trouble than it was worth and raised the cost considerably.

These things are honestly just amazing anyway and should be in everyone's collection
