Update 03/01/26:
The file Vice-Body2.stl has been updated to Vice-Body2a. The original did not include the thread for the table screw.
Update 10/02/26:
I've updated the Vice Screw to now be comprised of two parts, a knob and a threaded shaft. This will improve the strength of the screw and prevent falures. The new files are in the Updated Screw folder. Print the knob with 15% infill and four walls. The screw thread should be printed with a solid infil and four walls. To assemble simply firmly push the knob onto the shaft, you should hear/feel two clicks for it to be fully seated in place.
Information:
A table vice in two different sizes with changable jaw grips.
Body 1 - for tables with a thickness of 26mm or less.
Body 2 - for tables with a thickness of 11mm to 40mm.
Maximum jaw opening = 70mm. Jaw Width = 40mm
A circlip is used to retain the jaw screw.
The anti-slip sole plate aids grip with the table top.
All STL's are oriented for printing. No supports are necessary.
Print with 15% gyroid infill and 4 or 5 walls.
The screws will need a higher infill percentage, 40% seems ok. You can either print the whole screw, knob included, with a denser infill or use a slicer modifier to increase the infill for the threaded portions only.
Tested using PETG, note: print the anti-slip sole plate and boot in TPU.
FreeCad file provided to allow freecad users to modify the jaw grips.
