A D-shaped loop to tie off (e.g., with rope or zip-ties) or hang stuff from your ceiling or wall. It attaches to the wall with screws up to #9 / 5 mm.
This thing is small 7/8 x 5/8-inch (22x16 mm) but mighty. I printed it in PETG with 4 perimeters (0.6 mm inner wall width), which makes it a solid piece, and on the side as it comes in the model. Attached to a ceiling joist with a 1-1/4-inch screw and using 6mm cord (see photo), this held my full body weight (~140 lbs)!
Note that the loop opening for putting the screw is tight when using large screws (e.g., a #9 construction wood screw), but it will push through.
FreeCAD and STEP files included also.
WARNING: Do not use for holding body weight! In spite of my testing (sample size of 1), I don't recommend it for anything heavier than maybe 60 lbs, and even then I would recommend using at least two. If not for other reasons, because holding something can frequently involve dynamic forces that are much greater than the purely static force needed to hold the weight of an item. Use your best judgement! Remember that, if you decide to use this part, you assume all risks and responsibility for any damages that may arise from using it.
