There are two little drill guides. One for a 25mm Forstner drill, the other for a 10mm wood drill. Use a sharp one ;)
The length of your drill obviously limits the length of your screw.
After you made the wholes you can put the parts in the leg like you see on the pictures. Washer - Nut - Plastic - bolt - plastic.
