This is my tealight holder, into which you can insert a rose (or anything else) that will project a shadow on the wall.
Credit for model of rose goes to Ts3D. I modified it to have a box at the bottom so that it fits into my base.
Base was designed by me, and OpenSCAD source is included. Base includes also a little tray, which fits match box.
If you want to use different rose model:
Put model of your choice in prusa slicer
scale Z height so that it's 4mm
right click on model, select "add part" then "box"
scale this box to X=20mm Y=10mm Z=4mm
move the box to the bottom of the model
Print settings: I used 0.25mm speed as there is no vertical detail in either the box or rose so layer height doesn't matter. I used 10% lightning infill for box, however, it does not save much time or filament compared to grid. In the end, I guess it doesn't matter.
I would recommend printing the base in PETG as the tealight bottom can get pretty hot when all of the wax is melted. PETG stands better chance against melting in this case. I cannot really test this, since it would have to be quite a long time in the open - and I don't want my girl to see this before valentine's day.
I was inspired by this model from Tomáš Musil, however it was not used in making of my model
