This is a prototype adapter kit to enable the fitment of Acerbis hand guards to a Triumph Tiger motorcycle with 23mm OD handlebars.
The handguards are designed to be fitted using an 8mm bolt however I am told the bike has an embedded 6mm nut secured in the bars sso this kit is to enable these hand guards to be fitted to the bike with 6mm bolts.
There are two models of sleeves to centre the 6mm bolt with the bars and the grips, one to fit a countersunk bolt and the other to fit a cap head bolt.
You will need 2 each of the following:
6mm sleeve, either the Cap head version or the Countersunk version
Bar end adapter, if you trim 1mm off the top of the 22mm dia feature you can omit tthe TPU gasket
TPU 95A gasket (optional to keep the crud out from between the bar end and handguard).
6mm Stainless steel bolts, I've been told these will need to be approx 150mm long.
I printed the 6mm Sleeves and bar end adapters out of PETG with 4 walls and 25% cubic infill. These parts have not been test fitted on the actual bike but fit the handguards.
I plan to re-print these parts out of ABS once I know these fit correctly
When fitting these parts and handgrips torque the 6mm bolts to 5nm
