This model is larger than most, if not all of the plastic models. The scale was chosen so it woud fit on a bookshelf. The ascent and descent stage are held together using 6x3mm magnets. The front of the ascent stage is removable, again using the same magnets, so you can model the interior. Quite a bit of the descent stage is foiled using three colors of foil; gold, rose gold and silver. All three foils were purchased in a kit along with a white glue and a brush used to apply the foil sheets. The legs are retractable. There are two decals printed on a desktop printer on a vinyl sticker paper. There were many versions with subtle differences and different color schemes. For the most part I followed the look and color scheme of LM-2 on display at the National Air and Space museum. http://heroicrelics.org/nasm/lm-2/index.html There are high level instructions and a parts list.
