I wanted a way to mount a relay and motion sensors to automatically switch on lights in a dark basement hallway. I chose LD1020 low power microwave radar sensors to signal a 5v relay module. The relay module switches mains electricity to power a pair of 180mm (7 inch) flush mount LED ceiling lights. The relay box included in this project is designed to mount on a standard 100mm (4 inch) fixture box. It has space and mounts for a step down power supply attached to a 30x70mm perf board, a common 5v relay module board and a couple of 3 way WAGO connectors. The base and cover are threaded so the cover twists on.
My project required a surface mount wiring raceway so I have included spacers to place behind the relay box and the surface mount light fixture that hold them away from the wall or ceiling enough to easily accommodate the wiring. I also included a surround for the light fixtures to house the LD1020 sensor mounted on a 20x25mm piece of perf board. The surround is deep enough to house the light fixture and the spacer mounted behind it. I didn't include a shallower surround because it should be easy to cut off what you don't need in your slicer before you print it. If you do that, remember to arrange room for your sensor.
