My take on making the Foxbat more comfortable to wield with the addition of a mag release mechanism.

Originally, I just chose to make the blaster with the angled talon grip, anticipating it would be more ergonomic to hold the front heavy blaster with.
When finished, I realized that still some weight would be resting on my middle finger via the trigger guard, which, having that rectangular cross section, would mainly apply the pressure with its corner.
That led me to the “Super Ergonomic Grip - Angled Talon Foxbat” by Astropulse (https://www.printables.com/model/1349735-super-ergonomic-grip-angled-talon-foxbat), which is indeed very ergonomic and let some weight being distributed to my palm.
But the issue with the trigger guard wasn't solved as much as I'd hoped.
Upon comparing with real guns, I realized that the upper “notch” on the back of the grip where the thumb goes around was higher in relation to the trigger than on the average gun that I've seen.
I think this is due to the sliding bar of the trigger.
At least that was about the offset in the geometry that I saw.
That to me meant that the trigger guard was further down in relation to my hand than in other configurations, which should result in increased weight on my middle fingers nuckle.
So I'm very thankful for Sillybutts supplying the fusion file for modding.
I took inspiration from the super ergonomic grip regarding the shape, but moved everything hand related down about 8mm. Also I removed the notch on the bottom since I intend to only use 15+ talons.
I now had more space in the upper part of the grip, so I figured I could now attempt to fit some kind of mag release in there.
It took two approaches and several iterations until I came up with something that worked satisfactory.
Apart from that I changed the bottom of the trigger guard to have more surface resting on my index finger.
Since I shifted everything down, I had to bridge the bigger space from the “thumb notch” upwards which resulted in a slight different angle of the rear face there.
That's why there is the upper part of the grip included in the files. It's a minor change in the corner of the rear back and I doubt the difference would be very noticeable if you kept the original, so that part might be optional.
Printing: As for printing the parts, I used PLA with the same settings Sillybutts generally recommends (5 walls, 20% infill). The orientations of the grip parts and the trigger guard are as with the originals. The mag release pusher was printed on its top side. All of the parts except the pusher require supports.
Be warned: Removing the supports from the cavity for the slider is a pain, since it's not very well accessible inside the grip. If anyone figures out how to get away without supports or can improve on my design, be my guest. I attached the fusion file for any modding attempts. After all the prototypes, I was just relieved to finally get it working at this point.
Hardware: You need one of those pen springs for the slider and some silicone lube, which should be at hand if you built the Foxbat.
Assembly: Maybe apply some silicone lube or spray in the cavity where the slider will be.
Put the spring in the slider and insert it into its slot from inside the grip through the mag opening.
The flat side of the catcher should face up. Make sure it moves freely. Otherwise check for remains of the supports and/or move the slider a few times for it to settle in if it just has minor friction points (not sure how the tolerances work out on every printer)
Apply some lube on the bottom side of the pusher where it will contact the slider.
Press the slider in a bit and put the pusher in its place from above. It should keep the slider in.
Put a finger over the pusher so it doesn't fall out or turn the whole grip upside down on a table an test for smooth operation.
If everything is as desired, assemble all parts just like with the originals.
