I initially tried printing them using a 0.25mm nozzle and a 0.1mm layer height, and while they came out perfect looking, they were blocking a lot of the light.
That's when I realized that I should go the opposite way, as a trade-off, and print it as "imperfectly" as possible:
0.4mm nozzle
0.3mm layer height
0% infill
1 perimeter
so there's as few material as possible, even if it looked scuffed, as only the first layer is visible in the end.
In order to further prevent first layer squishes that made it impossible to fit them without pushing material out from the case, I also changed the first layer extrusion width to 0.2mm. I also hand-painted the supports to make it as easy as possible to remove them, without breaking the link between the guides, in the detriment of a bit of bridging.
