One of the hooks from my coat hanger broke after years of service. Instead of replacing the whole thing, I printed a replacement.
Print settings
Since this is put under quite some stress with heavy coats. I printed it with thicker 1.6mm walls, 10% infill 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layers.
How to install it
Remove all the screws from the back of the coat hanger.
Look for the rod plug on the side of the hanger and push the rod in this direction. The plug should come out with the rod, make sure to not lose it! The rod may be a little difficult to push.
Each hook has little black washers on each side. They should hold the hooks in place while the rod is pulled. If not, pay attention to not lose them.
Once the rod has passed the slot for the hook you want to replace, pull out the broken hook and set the washers aside.
Place back the washers on each side of the new printed hook and slide it in place. Align the holes of the hook and push back the rod in place.
If other hooks have fallen off, put them back in place the same way. Don't forget the washers.
Once the rod is fully back in place, insert the rod plug, and put back all the screws.
Done!
