The Putterman Portable Divider Panels of our local club were extremely woobly due to several issues within the design of the adjustable feet.

The wobbliness is caused by:

  1. Torsion of the bottom tube of the loop frame

  2. Springloaded foot clamp getting lose due to tube deforming at bolt

  3. The bottom of the feet becomming convex due to wear, especially when the floor is abrasive

This clip on design with pads resolve ther above issues, while re-using the origonal feet and conical spring, and washer.

The adjustability is achieved with a the use of magnets.

PETG is used for the Clip On and Foot Adaptor, 4 top and bottom layers, 4 walls, 20% gyroid infill. At the heat insert position of the clip on part, I added a a 15mm high modifier cylinder with a 12mm diameter with 100% infill.

TPU is used for the Foot Pad, 4 top and bottom layers, 4 walls, 15% grid infill.

Re-used parts (per divider):

  1. (grey) Foot, 2x

  2. Conical spring, 2x

  3. Spring washer, 2x

New parts (per divider):

  1. M5x9.5 Brass Heat Set Insert, 2x

  2. M5-0.8 x 40mm Socket Head Cap Screws Bolt, 2x

  3. 6x3mm round Neodymium magnets x16

Miscellaneous:

  1. Vibra-TITE VC-3 Thread mate. Note: This threadlocker IS compatible with PETG

  2. Silicon Glue for glueing the pads to the feet
