Design & Printing Details
I printed my models using the following settings:
Printer: Prusa MK4S
HF0.4 Nozzle
0.2mm Layer height
5 % Infill (gyroid)
No Brim, No Supports
Pause each print 3 times to insert magnets. Best position is 1 layer before closing the boxes for the magnets
Notice: I only printed 3 models with good distance in a single row on the X-axis, because when printing more rows I sometimes had magnets jumping out and ruining the print. (Probably due to vibration?)
Magnets
I made the design in a way that standard 5mm magnet cubes can be used. This allows the use of cheap magnets like these: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0CBPQFFBH
Reference
I recently played around with Geomag MagiCubes and found the product really inspiring. Unfortunately the magnets of the original were a little weak, so I thought to design my own compatible elements.
