Mold Prep:
Lightly coat the interior with a thin, even layer of Vaseline (wipe off excess) before pouring soy wax at 135–145°F (57–63°C) for best surface finish. Allow to cool for 24 hours. I had to pour more soy wax before removing to get a good finish on the top. You'll also need to ensure you don't cause any air pockets when pouring, but I didn't have any trouble there. I used some clay to ensure the wax didn't come out the low side.

Wooden Wick Prep:
Boil wooden wick (18.3mm wide x 1mm thick x 5.1 inch/130mm long) for 20 minutes. Secure the wooden wick into the mold and allow to fully dry before inserting the wick in the mold. Electric tape worked well for this. My wicks weren't long enough to go through the entire mold, but while unnecessary, I liked the idea of having it go all the way through, and it perhaps provides some support for the candle, so that it doesn't sag. I've had mine for a month and it's maintained it's shape just fine.

Post Processing:
I'll be honest, it was a bit hard to remove the candle from the mold, so ensure you use enough Vaseline!! The surface finish came out ok, but by no means smooth. I used by finger to smooth out some of the high/low spots. Perhaps designing a scraper to evenly apply the Vaseline to the mold would provide a better surface finish.
