I made this toy to go with my kids Hexbug BattleBot toys. The wheels don't spin as well as I'd like, but I didn't want to include any non-printable parts so I didn't design in any bearings.

I recommend printing the inner rod lying down on its flat side so your layer lines are perpendicular to the forces trying to snap it in half. For assembly, glue the eyes and legs onto the “core” with either super glue or hot glue, then thread everything on the “Inner Rod” like a plastic shish kabob.

Outer washer - wheel - core - inner washer - weapon - inner washer - core - wheel - outer washer.

When you get everything lined up correctly, use some glue on the outer washers to hold them in place and the rest of the robot will stay put due to the asymmetry of the rod.

Feel free to make the wheel a little thinner for a more realistic look, but I designed for durability.
