No Supports, Thread custom designed for easy/clean 3D printing.

I made this as I wanted something simple that didn't take up space for the rare time I need to re-spool filament.

I suggest using your drills clutch on 10 if you have that option so that if your reel snags it doesn't torque the adapter(Although it held up fine when this happened to me)

This drill powered filament rewinder makes transferring filament to a new spool quick and controlled.

Place your full reel on a filament roller or spool holder. Attach the empty spool to this adapter, chuck it into your drill, and guide the filament on evenly by hand as it winds.

Fits standard drill chucks:

  • 10mm

  • 3/8 inch

Compatible spool center bore:

  • Minimum 45mm

  • Maximum 75mm

While spooling the reel shown in the photos, it snagged a few times which turned into a real world strength test. The adapter handled the added tension without failure. The model shown was printed in eSUN PLA+ and held up great under load.

If you respool filament often or recover tangled rolls, this tool makes the job faster and much easier than manual winding without building a giant contraption.

Print Settings
  • 4 walls

  • 20% infill

  • I added a modifier to the hex section for 8 walls and 80% infill but its probably not necessary
