SSD Stackers for 15mm U.2 size SSDs are meant to allow you to stack and mount two or more SSDs together

You will need 4 per SSD you add to a stack. A stack of 2 needs 4, stack of 3 needs 8, etc.

Always start by mounting your top drive from the bottom, and stack from there.

Print at 100% infill for strength (they are less than 1g each), I also printed at 0.08mm layer height.

Tested on 3x Kioxia CM5-R KCM5DRUG960G

I am including multiple files I made while creating these stackers for my SSDs.

  • SSD Stacker 15mm

    • If your SSD is 15mm tall on the sides

  • SSD Stacker 15mm with 13mm shoulder

    • If your SSD has a shoulder that is lower like my SSDs in the pictures

  • SSD Stacker 15mm with 13mm shoulder and cutouts

    • My SSDs have little tabs on one side that interfere with the other file so I created little cutouts to handle it

  • SSD Stacker/Slider 3x 15mm with 13mm shoulder and cutouts

    • This is what I ended up using for my 3x SSDs

    • This uses less screws, is more stable, and is easier to install

  • Fusion 360 file & STEP file

    • You can edit as you need

    • You can create single piece stackers/sliders at any height

    • Both files have all the STL objects

    • The Fusion 360 file has full editing history so you can see how I made the sliders and adjust as you see fit. You can also see where I imported the mesh from the other author.

  • 3x SSD with 80mm fan mount

    • The SSDs I bought run super hot compared to 2.5" SATA SSDs so stacking them with the normal gaps meant I got notifications about them running too hot

    • These files give a larger gap between the SSDs and also let you mount an 80mm fan
