I recently got a new Peak Design camera strap. These days, they provide an alternate split ring to go with their straps. It is elongated instead of triangular or round, which works a bit better with the thin cordage used on their anchors. But I found I could not buy these rings, and I wanted to apply them to other cameras.
I found several similar rings with slightly different sizes. Ultimately, I settled on a close enough size (about 7mm by 1123mm) and designed a little plastic piece to fit them. The plastic is not strictly necessary, but it keeps the whole system aligned. Without it, the anchor can migrate to the long side of the split ring, which defeats the purpose of the arrangement and increases the risk of deforming the ring.
I printed this with a 0.4mm nozzle, but it is borderline. You might find better results with a finer nozzle
