Secateur springs can ping out and get lost if dropped or caught on a branch etc.
The Parkside secaturs have a weird rubber insert which seems to serve little purpose other than to supply a locating pimple in the middle which could have been moulded into the plastic handle like it is on the opposite handle, and then sets itself up for being lost at the same time as the spring, hahahaha!
The secateurs aren't very expensive at around £10 GBP at Lidl. Annoyingly they require a rather unusual 50mm spring. The 45mm springs on mini-secateurs are too short and will be loose and easily pop out. The 60mm springs on Felco and other standard secateurs are too long - the central non-compressable wrap is just too wide for the Parkside to comfortably close fully. 50mm springs are harder to find and consequently more expensive, but I found one supplier selling them for £3.40 each on Amazon which is a bit steep but still a lot cheaper than buying a new pruner. In TPU (may not fit if made of a rigid material like PLA as it's intended to be a snug fit, you could try it but might need to scale it down a few % if it's too tight) it's only 3p to print :o)
I printed mine in with 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layers, no adhesion, infill 50% lines, support "everywhere" 50% zigzag, and orientated with the hollow side facing the printbed. It could probably be printed the other way up if you prefer but you'd still need support, in TPU that pulls off very easily with snipe-nose pliers.
The cover image shows the original red rubber insert, and the other image shows my black TPU one in place with the original red rubber beside it. We have 2 secateurs so I had an original available to copy from.
I hope this helps restore other people's lost inserts and get their secateurs working again!
