You know those access cards that have a little slot cut into so that you can hook them to a key chain or lanyard? I managed to rip the ring on mine and realized I might be able to fix it via 3D printing. Additionally, I wanted something I could make out of durable TPU so that it could grip the card snugly and not tear out again when using the new hook rings.
I didn't want anything fancy and saw 3dprintsmith's model, so I though I'd give it a shot after a bit of modification. About 3 hours later, I was happy with the design and sent it to print.
The cover was printed in clear TPU (Shore 64D) with 2 perimeters, fuzzy skin and 15% 3D honeycomb infill. I also added a brim and printed it with a max volumetric speed set to 1 mm³/s out of an abundance of caution.
I also made a 2 card version that's a bit easier to print since it has a wider base. Unfortunately, I have no photos because I had already given it away as a birthday gift before thinking of publishing the files.
